Le présent document fournit la méthodologie conduisant aux procédures de vérification de la réduction des risques dus à l'émission de substances dangereuses, que doivent suivre les constructeurs de machines pour ce qui concerne l'intégration de la sécurité à la conception des équipements de travail. Il doit être utilisé conjointement avec la norme NF EN 626-1 (indice de classement: E 09-080-1) et se rapporte spécifiquement à l'article 8 de cette norme. Il vient à l'appui des Directives "Machines" 98/37/CE et 2006/42/CE.
