Le présent document détermine les prescriptions de sécurité pour la conception et la construction des machines à scier les métaux à froid. Il s'applique aux machines destinées principalement au sciage des métaux à froid (ferreux et non ferreux) ou des matériaux constitués partiellement de métaux à froid, au moyen d'une lame de scie. Il s'applique également aux dispositifs auxiliaires qui font partie intégrante de la machine. Il ne s'applique pas aux machines à scier les métaux fabriquées avant la date de publication ce document par le CEN. Le présent document est une norme harmonisée rentrant dans le cadre des Directives "Machines" 98/37/CE (voir Annexe ZA) et 2006/42/CE (voir Annexe ZB).
