Le présent document fait partie d'un ensemble de 5 normes relatives au soudage de l'aluminium par friction-malaxage par points (soudage FSSW) . Contrairement au soudage par friction-malaxage, ce procédé de soudage réalisé en phase solide ne fait intervenir que peu ou pas de mouvement transversal de l'outil. Le présent document définit les exigences pour la qualification du personnel en soudage. Le vocabulaire, la conception des assemblages soudés, le descriptif et la qualification des modes opératoires de soudage et les exigences de qualité et de contrôle relatives au soudage FSSW font respectivement l'objet des parties 1, 2, 4 et 5. Le soudage par friction-malaxage fait l'objet des normes NF EN ISO 25239-1 à -5.
