Le présent document entre dans le cadre de la Directive 89/686/CEE (EPI). Il décrit des méthodes d'essai pour les chaussures conçues comme des équipements de protection individuelle. Il modifie l'article 2 de la norme NF EN ISO 20344, d'octobre 2004 et ajoute le paragraphe 5.18 ainsi que l'annexe A.
