Le présent document spécifie une méthode générale pour déterminer la température de ramollissement Vicat (VST) des tubes et des raccords en matières thermoplastiques. Il inclut l’adaptation de la méthode B 50 de l’ISO 306:2022 en utilisant une force de 50 N et une vitesse d’élévation de la température de 50 °C/h. Il comprend les conditions spécifiques d’essai permettant de déterminer la température de ramollissement Vicat (VST) des tubes et des raccords en poly(chlorure de vinyle) non plastifié (PVC-U) ou en poly(chlorure de vinyle) chloré (PVC-C), des tubes en poly(chlorure de vinyle) à résistance aux chocs améliorée (PVC-HI) et des tubes et des raccords en acrylonitrile/butadiène/styrène (ABS) et en acrylonitrile/styrène/ester acrylique (ASA). Il donne également, pour information, les spécifications de base correspondantes. Il n’est pas applicable aux polymères cristallins ni semi-cristallins.
