Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des revêtements de sol à base de polychlorure de vinyle expansé et ses modifications, fournis sous forme de dalles ou de rouleau. Pour aider le consommateur à faire un choix éclairé, il inclut un système de classification (voir la NF EN 685) basé sur l'intensité d'utilisation, qui indique l'endroit où il convient que ces revêtements de sol rendent un service satisfaisant. Il spécifie également les exigences relatives au marquage.
