La présente norme définit les conditions requises pour l'essai acoustique en salle réverbérante du type d'équipement spécifié dans l'article 1. Elle est basée sur l'application des normes NF ISO 3741 (S 31-022) et NF ISO 3742 (S 31-023) qui décrivent les dispositifs d'essai acoustique, l'équipement de mesurage et les procédures à employer pour la détermination en laboratoire des niveaux de puissance acoustique en bandes d'octave ou de tiers d'octave d'une source de bruit dont le volume est, de préférence, inférieur à 1% du volume de la salle réverbérante.
