Les seuils analytiques que la méthode décrite permet d'atteindre, sont suffisamment bas pour qu'elle soit applicable au contrôle courant de la qualité des eaux. L'analyse des traces, à des seuils analytiques inférieurs à ceux spécifiés dans la présente norme, exige une expérience particulière de la part des laboratoires et n'est pas considérée comme relevant du domaine d'application de la norme.
