Cette norme traite des matériaux de protection imperméables à l'eau et à la graisse, souples et autoadhérents pour usages industriels. Les matériaux sont classés par types de matériaux selon les exigences requises. Pour le type I, les exigences retenues qui correspondent à des caractéristiques mécaniques élevées sont conformes à la spécification MIL B 121 E (Type 1 - Grade C- Classe 1 et 2). Pour les types II et III, les exigences retenues correspondent à des utilisations particulières.
