La présente norme permet d'apprécier l'aptitude des graisses à prévenir la formation de rouille. La graisse est essayée dans un roulement à billes tournant à 80 tr/min sans charge appliquée en présence d'eau. Les propriétés antirouille de la graisse sont appréciées en examinant la piste extérieure du roulement après essai.

Petroleum products and lubricants - Determination of rust-prevention characteristics of lubricating greases - Part 1 : dynamic wet conditions

This document specifies a method for the determination of the rust prevention characteristics of lubricating grease under dynamic wet conditions. This test method is used to assess the ability of a grease to prevent corrosion in rolling bearings operated in presence of water, synthetic sea water or any industrial aqueous pollutant. NOTE For the purposes of this document, the term “% (m/m)” is used to represent the mass fraction.
