ISO 16737:2006 governs the application of algebraic equation sets to the calculation of specific characteristics of vent flows.ISO 16737:2006 is an implementation of the general requirements provided in ISO/TR 13387-3 for the case of fire dynamics calculations involving sets of algebraic equations.ISO 16737:2006 is arranged in the form of a template, where specific information relevant to algebraic vent-flow equations is provided to satisfy the following types of general requirements:description of physical phenomena addressed by the calculation method;documentation of the calculation procedure and its scientific basis;limitations of the calculation method;input parameters for the calculation method;domain of applicability of the calculation method.Examples of sets of algebraic equations meeting all the requirements of ISO 16737:2006 are provided for each different type of vent flow scenario. One informative annex contains general information and conservation relationships for vent flows and a second informative annex contains specific algebraic equations for calculation of vent flow characteristics.

ISO 16737:2006 governs the application of algebraic equation sets to the calculation of specific characteristics of vent flows.

ISO 16737:2006 is an implementation of the general requirements provided in ISO/TR 13387-3 for the case of fire dynamics calculations involving sets of algebraic equations.

ISO 16737:2006 is arranged in the form of a template, where specific information relevant to algebraic vent-flow equations is provided to satisfy the following types of general requirements:

  1. description of physical phenomena addressed by the calculation method;
  2. documentation of the calculation procedure and its scientific basis;
  3. limitations of the calculation method;
  4. input parameters for the calculation method;

L'ISO 16737:2012 spécifie des exigences pour l'application d'ensembles de formules algébriques explicites pour le calcul de caractéristiques spécifiques des écoulements au travers d'une ouverture. L'ISO 16737:2012 est une mise en application des exigences générales de niveau élevé pour les calculs relatifs à la dynamique d'un incendie impliquant des systèmes de formules algébriques. L'ISO 16737:2012 est organisée sous forme d'un modèle dans lequel les informations spécifiques relatives aux formules algébriques pour les écoulements au travers d'une ouverture sont fournies pour satisfaire aux types suivants d'exigences générales: a) description des phénomènes physiques traités par la méthode de calcul; b) documentation de la méthode de calcul et de sa base scientifique; c) limites de la méthode de calcul; d) paramètres d'entrée de la méthode de calcul; e) domaine d'applicabilité de la méthode de calcul.
