Synchronous belt drives - Imperial pitch trapezoidal profile system - Belts and pulleys
ISO 19347:2015 specifies the principal characteristics of synchronous endless belts and pulleys for use in synchronous endless belt drives[1] for mechanical power transmission and where positive indexing or synchronization is required. The principal characteristics includes the following:a) belt nominal tooth dimensions;b) belt length and width dimensions and tolerances;c) belt length-measurement specifications;d) pulley grooves dimensions and tolerances;e) pulley dimensions and tolerances;f) pulley quality specification.[1] These drives have been known under various names in the past, for example: timing belt drives, positive belt drives, gear belt drives.

ISO 5294:2012 specifies the principal characteristics of synchronous pulleys for use in synchronous endless belt drives for mechanical power transmission and where positive indexing or synchronization is required. The principal characteristics include tooth dimensions and tolerances, pulley dimensions and tolerances, and quality specification. As far as dimensions are concerned, the pulleys specified in ISO 5294:2012 are used interchangeably with the belts specified in ISO 5296.
Le présent document s'adresse aux fabricants et utilisateurs de matériel incorporant des transmissions mécaniques de puissance où une synchronisation est nécessaire. Il spécifie les caractéristiques principales ainsi qu'un système de désignation des courroies synchrones.
