La résistance au tirage des cigarettes et perte de charge des bâtonnets-filtres est unconcept important et très utilisé, tant pour les spécifications de qualité des produitsque pour les analyses par fumage mécanique. Différents procédés et appareillagessont actuellement connus pour cette mesure. Il n'a pas été possible jusqu'à présent,de normaliser la description complète du matériel à utiliser, non plus qu'un modeopératoire. Néanmoins, les conditions décrites dans le présent document ont obtenuun large consensus.
