Cette norme s'adresse aux personnes qui sont concernées par les produits carbonés utilisés dans l'industrie de l'aluminium, en particulier par le brai utilisé comme liant dans la fabrication des électrodes pour la production électrolytique de l'aluminium. La présente norme consiste à déterminer par gravimétrie, après chauffage du brai à 550 °C, sa teneur en résidu cokéfié.
