Le présent document fixe les dimensions des espaces libres autour des poignées avant et arrière des scies à chaîne portatives ainsi que les dimensions de ces poignées en tenant compte de la gâchette d'accélération et du guide chaîne, afin d'assurer un maximum de sécurité et de confort pour l'opérateur. Il donne par ailleurs les exigences pour la détermination de la zone de travail L'amendement A1, présenté en fin de document, précise le paragraphe 3.1, "Poignée avant" en y ajoutant des exigences sur la détermination de la zone de travail.
