La présente norme s'applique aux essais d'information exécutés sur éprouvettes en vue d'évaluer les caractéristiques du béton de l'ouvrage, ou d'un élément d'ouvrage. Elle s'applique aux bétons de granulats courants (voir norme NF P 18-301) ou légers (voir norme NF P 18-309). Elle ne s'applique pas aux essais d'information exécutés sur certains bétons spéciaux tels que les bétons caverneux, les bétons réfractaires, les bétons cellulaires.
