Le présent document spécifie la procédure de contrôle des polluants visibles (opacité) des gaz d'échappement des véhicules routiers équipés d'un moteur à allumage par compression (diesel). Cette procédure doit être utilisée au cours des inspections réglementaires et des contrôles d'entretien, et peut être utilisée lors des essais en vue d'homologation ou de réception et des contrôles de conformité de la production. Les opacimètres utilisés doivent être conformes à la norme NF R 10-025-2.
