Cette norme fournit des recommandations pour le stockage, la manipulation et l'inspection des films photographiques traités. Elle prévoit deux classes de conservation : à moyen terme (10 ans minimum) et à long terme (conservation optimale des films ayant une valeur permanente). Elle s'applique aux films argentiques, diazoïques et vésiculaires, en noir et blanc et en couleur.
