Le présent document présente un protocole de prélèvement des macro-invertébrés dans les cours d'eau peu profonds, dont la totalité des substrats à prélever dans le lit mouillé peut être prélevée à pied ou au moyen d'embarcations légères, avec des appareils à main de type filet Surber ou haveneau. Développé pour un usage en France métropolitaine, le protocole est applicable également sur tout territoire présentant les même types de cours d'eau et de faunes macro-invertébrées.
