Le présent document décrit une méthode conventionnelle de détermination de la cellulose brute dans les produits agricoles et produits alimentaires (notamment aliments pour animaux). Dans le cadre de la coopération entre l'AFNOR et la Direction Générale de la Concurrence, de la Consommation et de la Répression des Fraudes (DGCCRF), la norme NF V 03-040 de février 1977 a été entièrement remaniée par la commission n° 7 "Aliments des Animaux" de la Commission Générale d'Unification des Méthodes d'Analyses (CGd'UMA) de la DGCCRF ; laquelle s'est appuyée sur les travaux de Bureau Interprofessionnel d'Études Analytiques (BIPÉA).
