Ce document spécifie les caractéristiques techniques auxquelles doivent répondre les réseaux de distribution par câbles des services de radiodiffusion sonore et de télévision. Les signaux de mesure sont injectés à l'entrée du réseau définie comme le point où l'exploitant prend en charge les signaux. Note : Dans ces conditions ces spécifications sont conçues pour obtenir chez l'usager individuel, pour chaque caractéristique prise isolément, une qualité de service correspondant au moins à la note 4,5 de l'échelle de dégradation à cinq notes de la Recommandation 500 du CCIR. Les caractéristiques spécifiées doivent être respectées dans la gamme de température ambiante de - 20 °C à + 40°C, mesurée sous abri.
