Il définit la désignation, les caractéristiques technologiques, géométriques et mécaniques, la relaxation isotherme, la résistance à la fatigue sous forme axiale, à la traction déviée et à la corrosion sous contrainte, l'échantillonnage et le contrôle de réception avec l'interprétation des résultats. Le présent document fait partie d'une série de quatre normes dont la Partie 1 traite des prescriptions générales, la Partie 2 aux fils et la Partie 4 aux barres.
