La présente norme indique les caractéristiques des éléments en polychlorure de vinyle non plastifié (PVC-U) destinés aux canalisations d'assainissement: désignation, marquage, couleur, ainsi que les caractéristiques dimensionnelles des tubes, raccords et assemblages. D'autre part, elle présente les méthodes d'essai relatives aux caractéristiques d'aptitude à l'emploi de ces éléments: essais d'étanchéité, et essais de résistance mécanique à la déformation.
