Il s'applique aux matériaux magnétiques possédant un champ coercitif inférieur ou égal à 500 kA/m. Les précautions particulières à prendre dans le cas des champs coercitifs inférieurs à 40 A/m et supérieurs à 160 kA/m sont données dans l'annexe A.
