Le présent document constitue la première partie d'une norme en deux parties relatives aux propriétés mécaniques des matériaux à basse température pour les récipients cryogéniques. Cette partie 1 traite des exigences de ténacité des matériaux destinés à l'utilisation des récipients cryogéniques pour une température inférieure à - 80 °C. Elle donne aussi les méthodes d'essais et fixe les critères d'acceptation. La partie 2 est destinée aux matériaux utilisés à une température comprise entre - 80 °C et - 10 °C. Voir avant-propos national pour les relations avec la réglementation.
