L'essai est réalisé à l'aide d'une bactérie (Bacillus suptilis) et d'un champignon (Aspergillus niger). Le transfert d'agents antimicrobiens est déterminé par la mesure de la zone d'inhibition autour de l'éprouvette de carton ou de papier après une durée spécifiée.
