Le domaine d'application couvre les appareils relativement simples du type ressuscitateur à des appareils plus complexes et utilisés sur une large période. Les ressuscitateurs à puissance motrice pneumatique sont inclus dans le domaine d'application. Le présent document s'inscrit dans une série de normes sur les ventilateurs. Le présent document est une norme harmonisée rentrant dans le cadre des directives européennes 93/42/CEE et 2007/47/CE.
