Il définit des modes opératoires d'essai des capteurs dans des conditions bien définies et répétables. Ce document fournit également des méthodes d'essai et des méthodes de calcul permettant de déterminer les performances thermiques des capteurs solaires vitrés à circulation de liquide en régime stationnaire et quasi-stationnaire ainsi que des méthodes permettant de déterminer les performances thermiques des capteurs solaires à circulation de liquide sans vitrage. Le présent document comprend des méthodes de réalisation d'essais à l'extérieur dans des conditions d'irradiance solaire naturelle et de vent naturel et simulé, ainsi que des méthodes de réalisation d'essais à l'intérieur dans des conditions de simulation de l'irradiance solaire et du vent.
