NF ISO 5609

Dans la série des normes de porte-plaquette, le présent document concerne les porte-plaquette de tournage intérieur. Il fixe les dimensions générales de ces outils et en recommande certaines formes. Les dimensions des porte-plaquette extérieur et de copiage font l'objet de la norme NF ISO 5610 (indice de classement : E 66-344).

ISO 5609-1:2012 specifies the code for the designation, styles, general dimensions and calculation for corrections for tool holders for internal turning with cylindrical shank. It is intended to be used in conjunction with, and is completed by, ISO 5609-2, ISO 5609 3, ISO 5609 4, ISO 5609 5 and ISO 5609-6. These tool holders are primarily intended for indexable inserts made of hardmetal, ceramic or other cutting materials to be mounted by clamping and to be used for internal turning operations.

ISO 5609-2:2012 specifies the characteristics of tool holders for internal turning with cylindrical shank, style F, i.e. with reduced shank and cutting edge angle equal to 90°. These tool holders are primarily intended for indexable inserts made of hardmetal, ceramic of other cutting materials to be mounted by clamping and to be used for internal turning operations.

ISO 5609-3:2012 specifies the characteristics of tool holders for internal turning with cylindrical shank, style K, i.e. with reduced shank and cutting edge angle equal to 75°. These tool holders are primarily intended for indexable inserts made of hardmetal, ceramic or other cutting materials to be mounted by clamping and to be used for internal turning operations.

ISO 5609-4:2012 specifies the characteristics of tool holders for internal turning with cylindrical shank, style L, i.e. with reduced shank and cutting edge angle equal to 95°. These tool holders are primarily intended for indexable inserts made of hardmetal, ceramic or other cutting materials to be mounted by clamping and to be used for internal turning operations.

ISO 5609 6:2012 specifies the characteristics of tool holders for internal turning with cylindrical shank, style Q, i.e. with reduced shank and cutting edge angle equal to 107,5°. These tool holders are primarily intended for indexable inserts made of hardmetal, ceramic or other cutting materials to be mounted by clamping and to be used for internal turning operations.
