La méthode est applicable à tous les types d'eaux d'activités en 226Ra soluble supérieures à 0,04 Bq.L -1. Dans le cas d'eaux fortement chargées en 228Ra, l'interférence des descendants du 220Rn peut conduire à des résultats surestimés.
