Le présent document propose un ensemble de méthodes de mesure (acquisition, traitement et analyse) permettant la caractérisation in situ des conditions météorologiques et des propriétés du sol pouvant avoir une influence sur l'estimation d'un niveau sonore. Il constitue une révision et une synthèse des méthodes présentées dans les parties portant sur ces points dans les normes NF S 31-085:2002 (8) , NF S 31-088 (7 et 8) , NF S 31-110:2005 (7) et NF S 31-010:1996 (5.3 et 6.4) , et se substitue à ces parties. Des compléments ont été apportés qui portent sur l'influence locale des conditions météorologiques et sur l'évaluation de l'influence du sol sur les niveaux sonores. Une troisième méthode complémentaire concernant l'évaluation de l'influence de la météorologie sur la propagation sonore est également proposée.
